Situated in the city centre, the site is located between the new music conservatoire and residential buildings of three and six storeys. Composed of a varied programme, the aim of the project is to create an urban whole in order to subtly integrate it into its urban environment. The composition of the façades reveals this desire to unify the programmes into a coherent whole while distinguishing them by compositional subtleties: the height of the bays, the brickwork, the covering of the trumeaux, etc.
Particular attention has been paid to the green component of the project in order to reinforce the existing biodiversity and to offer the largest public park possible. Similarly, the terraces and roofs are intensively planted and extend the desire to make the building part of a landscaped complex while making them accessible to residents.
The interior of the block is also intended to be open and permeable to the transverse paths for pedestrians and cyclists while making the vegetation perceptible from the outside roads. Through the creation of this small urban route, the site encourages a sense of community by creating common spaces that stimulates encounters.
